I've seen this story before, and I generally have a problem with it. No professor who was so adamant about his atheism would let a random slip of the fingers unsettle him. It's highly unlikely that this situation ever actually happened, especially with him running out of the room afterwards.
I have no issue with anyone believing in (or not believing in) a god or divinity, but the story is trying to make this sound factual when it just doesn't sound plausible, and I don't like it very much when anyone does that, theist or otherwise.
I am happy to have started the year seeing this . It reminded me of a lot of important things that I have forgotten...

I know I must be weird. But I have faith that even if this story is not true. There are plenty of other miracles untold in the world. I am sure we experienced a few ourselves.~
